Happy Hour is Fun at these two places.
San Simon (accent over the o) and Flamingo Room are as similar as they are unique. Both are owned by the same people, both have a delicious home made tonic (I love gin and tonic and theirs was great), both have great signature cocktails and tapas type menus. Oh, and both have Happy Hours. Here is where they diverge.
San Simon

San Simon is in Tin Pan Alley and has outdoor seating and fire pits. It labels itself as Sophisticated Debauchery and you can certainly get there with their full bar and great drinks. Happy Hour is from 2-6 and they have 4 drinks on happy hour for 8$ each. These drinks change periodically. The Tapas are not discounted but you can build your own delicious tapas plate with a variety of meats, cheese and other items. Check out the menu.

FLAMINGO ROOM
Flamingo Room, off of Century Avenue, has a similar Happy Hour that is from 4-6 with $8 drinks. It has a tropical feel with LOTS of plants throughout. There is outdoor seating and heating, but the day I went it was 29 degrees so we opted for the inside. Their menu is more latin tropical (Cuba?, Miami?, or even New Orleans-you choose), but also with a tapas type choice to build your own tapas plate, but here the difference is they are mostly vegetarian choices. No website is up yet so here is the menu. Check out both of these unique and fun happy hours.
